Steve (Jolly Rog Flogham) and Scott (Patch McBarnacle) are no strangers to performance, having over thirteen years of experience at Renaissance Festivals and Pirate Festivals between them. Their training and experience includes improvisation, classical theatre, stage combat, music, and many other odd skills. A Plunder Monkeys show incorporates all of these in an unpredictable (and often unplanned!) combination, all kept fresh by the interaction of two longtime friends out to crack each other up. The show tends towards a PG rating; they can keep themselves well-behaved, but they cannot control that which comes out of the pieholes of their beloved audience.

Little-known facts* about the Plunder Monkeys:

  • Jolly Rog likes his wenches like he likes his eggs: over easy.
  • The McBarnacle name has a proud heritage. It literally means "son of barnacle", which means somewhere on Patch's family tree there is a mollusc.
  • Jolly Rog Flogham weighs more than a duck, but less than a really big duck made of lead.
  • Patch McBarnacle likes his wenches like he likes his martinis: several at a time.
  • "Spelunkemapotamus" has finally been recognized by the Oxford English Dictionary.
  • Neither of them is Chinese.
